Wedding Makeup FAQs

Why should I use a professional Make-up Artist in Liverpool and the surrounding areas such as Claire Quick for my Wedding

Because I’m working in the TV and film industry all the time I’m used to working to strict time tables and under pressure so I know what I have to do and how long it’s going to take me. I come across different face structures and understand that people want different looks, I have the knowledge and skill to give you that look that will make you feel very special.

Where are you based?

Chester, but I will travel across the Northwest.

What area do you cover?

Cheshire, Manchester, North Wales and Liverpool although I will consider other areas in the North West.

What kind of wedding makeup service do you provide?

You can expect a trial for the bride before the big day and on the day itself the bride, bride’s mother and bridesmaids will have their hair and makeup done.

Do I have to have both hair and makeup done by you?

No, if you wish you can have your hair done by your favourite hairdresser.

How long does a wedding makeup trial take?

Normally the trial is just for the bride but if required the bride’s mother and bridesmaids could also have their own trials. For the bride, typically the trial would consist of a 5 to 10 minute consultation and 45 minutes for the hair and makeup.

What if I want to try a second look?

If time allows we could try another style on the first trial, if not and a second trial is required then this would be chargeable.

What if I have a certain look in mind?

Bring along some pictures to your trial so I can see what you have in mind.

Where does the trial take place?

I can come to a place of your choice or you can come to me in Chester.

Where do you make me up on my wedding day?

I come to were ever is best for you, that may be your house, Hotel or even your hairdressers salon if you are not using me for your hair-styling.

I have a lot of people to be made up, can you cope?

If I can’t do everyone in the given time scale I will bring along an assistant (another professional makeup artist) to help me and work under my guidance.

What product brands do you use?

Mostly Armani, Illamasqua and Mac.

What if I have a skin allergy and want to use my own make up?

You should tell me of any skin allergies you have when you initially make contact, if you want to use your own products then that is absolutely fine.

Does skin tone matter?

No I have the experience to work on all type of skin tones.

What styles do you cater for?

Pretty much anything you want from fashion, glamour to natural (see my wedding page).

What about false eyelashes?

They can be provided for at an extra small cost.

How long will my wedding makeup last for on the wedding day?

Under normal circumstances it should last all day, but if necessary I can provide, at a very reasonable cost, powder and lipsticks to touch up your makeup if required.

Are you insured?

Why chose Claire Quick makeup artist?

I’m very easy to get on with and listen to what you want from me as well as giving you some ideas you may not have thought of.
